I have a lot more stuff in the stash coming as I get time to list it, lots of prototypes, excess models, built models, NOS, OOP stuff and more. Just give me some time to post a little here and there. I’m working on it. I just need to thin some stuff down.

A couple of new street art sets …

First I would like to thank everyone that has patronage Dave’s Decals this year, I do appreciate your business and friendship. Hopefully 2024 will allow me more time to focus on the business and not the little BS things that have been eating up my time this year (2023).
Anyway … I’m working on it … seems to be my mantra here lately as par for the course I’m behind, I have a number of custom sets I’m doing for people and I’m behind on it, I have a number of custom building I’m doing and I’m behind on those and not even going to bore you with the list of other projects mostly domestic … I’m behind on, so it’s safe to say I’m behind. But I’m working on it.
Anyway here it is the end of yet another year and the old your get the faster they go … it’ll be about a week and I’ll be typing (God willing) here we are at the end of 2024. So please have a HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR! And may 2024 be better than the last three with the pandemic and economy. Happy New Years!

Here is a new adult themed billboard set as I’ve been asked for more, there are more billboard and signs coming for all styles and eras as I get time to make them. This is but one … click pic to get.

NEW SECTION – this section is replacing the BARGIN BIN as I’m expanding it to have a lot of limited edition pieces, New Old Stock, Discontinued items, Bargain Bin Stuff, Seconds and more. I have a lot of stuff I’m going to start thinning down that I have way too much of. I will be adding this stuff slowly over time as I get time – there are models, detail parts, art supplies, styrene, LED’s etc … no I’m not closing up shop anytime soon. I just need to make room for other stuff and just thin down the accumulation. After moving my office, I realized just how much stuff I had collected, mostly smalls and if I was to build dioramas until I was a 100, I don’t think I’d use it all. So, check back periodically as I will be adding things and once they are gone they are gone. There are a few there now but not many yet.

Here are a few new sets and there are more coming as I get time…

As I slowly get caught up or at least whittle down the long, long list of things that need doing that have nothing to do with decals – I’m trying to put a lot more time into the commissions I have to do and the getting some of the ton of new sets I’ve been slowing working on over the past year. Hopefully I can have those go live by Christmas at least a few of them, no way they will all be ready. So check back for those or follow me on Fakebook and I’ll be announcing them there too.

A lot of project have been slow going or put on the back burner due to a series of events I had little control over and mostly unplanned … all the way from storm damage to a roof, requiring a totally new roof (60 sq – yeah that ain’t small), a lot of roof decking, fighting with insurance that wouldn’t pay for it, to water damage in a bathroom requiring a complete gut and new bathroom and replacing several joist that insurance would pay for, the regular summer chores or lawn, landscaping and garden upkeep. All the way to life style changes to having to move an aging relative into our home and setting up a place for them to live. (that’s just to name a very few) It has been one thing after another for many months now and unfortunately I’ve had to put a lot of projects on hold as these came on the heel of the longtime issue going on I had with my eye that does seems to be better now (still no one figured out what it was) and adding a new studio and garage last year that ate up a tremendous amount of time and I’m not even finished with that yet … oh how I long for the days of youth when I had tons and energy and could set around and actually truly whine about being bored I have nothing to do.
And that folks is just the things that have been or are currently are being worked on and there is a very lengthy list of “TO DO’S” yet to be addressed.

So if I have forgot your project, been delaying your project or I’m not getting back with you in a timely fashion or at all I do apologize for that. I swear it wasn’t deliberate and I’m about one more thing being dumped on my plate from running off into the woods screaming “That’s it, that’s enough, I can’t do no more!” … eh probably won’t happen spent most of my life under the gun of too many irons in the fire, but you’d like to think that at some point it’d ease up a little and someone could ask me – “Hey Dave what are your doing today?” and I could reply with great confidence and delight “Absolutely nothing.”
