Custom build of the Mountainair New Mexico Depot … build from 0.08″ styrene and Grandt Line doors and windows. Stucco texture added with light weathering just enough to bring out the details, doesn’t show that well in photos. No lighting but the window have been waved to give it that old glass look. A whole bunch of hours went into this from the layout to the 24 hand cut eaves supports. I think I spent about a day getting those right and then cutting each one and trying to get it to match. Simple job that just ate time up. The entire model was hand cut (note to self use thinner styrene next time but .08″ was all I had enough of on hand). The slick shiny styrene was sanding the textured as a base for the stucco and then a build up of paint was used for added texture. I only had the two pictures to go on, but I think it looked pretty close to the real deal. To far away from the road to snag some street view images all you could do was see a little piece of the roof. Oh well nothing new about that.

NEW WHITE INK DECALS

Well I’ve been looking for a while to find a reliable way to print white ink decals and I’m slowly starting to do that as it does have its limitations and it’s still prone to tweaking and adjustments.
As of this post no one has blue tint backing decal film and therefore I’ll have to print them on clear film with white backing making them a little hard to see on the decal sets. So if you want white print decals you’ll have to get them with white backing for the foreseeable future.
OK what are they available on … standard CLEAR and extra thin CLEAR … the extra thin clear as pictured on the coke decal does a decent job of disappearing, but it’s not as forgiving as the standard if it doubles over or laps. You can correct if but it is advisable that you are experienced to use the extra thin, personally I prefer them as they conform to texture better. Also available on Peel and Stick Clear and Acetate.
I’ll be adding more and exclusively white decals as I get time .. on the table right now is numbers and letters, window signs, building names, and assorted other ideas. Feel free to toss them at me if you have them I can’t think of everything and YES I’ll be doing Custom decals on a limited basis I’m still behind and working long hours to catch Click here for WHITE INK DECALS
NOTE due to the much greater cost of white decal inks the set prices are reflective of this increase.
NEW LAYOUT, THEME AND FEATURES.
Well I’ve changed the theme to something hopefully a little more user and browser friendly, this theme is designed just for WooCommerce and WordPress so hopefully people will no longer have conflicts with some browsers, but I don’t know for sure – so no promises. I’m leaving the notice at the top in the sticky post just in case there is a lingering issue.
Here are a few of the changes, the navigation now has links on either side of a PRODUCT page to the previous (left side) and next (right side) product … see image below.
So I hope you like the new layout, it’s only some minor changes – if you encounter any issues please let me know. I’m sure I’ll tweak it and continue to make changed for a few days and I’ll continue to check it in a few different browsers and see that it’s acting right.

(SOLD) O SCALE BUILD BORDELLO
Here are a few pictures and the progression of an O Scale Bordello/Church build. This is a modified kit build from a Thomas Yorke Kit. Since this has to travel across the country I opted to frame it up with ASB and glue the boards to that so that there would be a lesser chance of damage and not affect the looks of the building.
